The Beginnings of a Lifelong Passion

Joseph’s artistic journey began at the age of 12 with his first painting, a birch tree. This early experience ignited a lifelong passion for both art and self-discovery. A formative moment occurred when he inadvertently experienced astral projection, sparking questions about existence and creativity that would shape his future work.

Professional & Educational Inspiration

Education and Awakening

In 1970, Joseph attended the Institute of Art in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, where he studied painting and sculpture. During a sunrise meditation in the mountains, he experienced a life-changing awakening, seeing his entire life unfold before him. Later, in 1977, he earned a BA in Environmental Studies with a minor in art, focusing on sustainability and solar energy, while continuing his studies in painting, drawing, and stained glass.

Professional Experience and Landscape Inspirations

For 30 years, Joseph worked as a planner on environmental, infrastructure, economics, and transportation projects. His landscape paintings are inspired by the breathtaking vistas of places he has called home, including Mexico, Colorado, California, Hawaii, North Carolina, and New York.

The Influence of Yoga and Buddhism

Having practiced yoga and Buddhism for over 20 years, Joseph is certified in two yoga disciplines and has studied energy healing with a master. These philosophies are deeply woven into his art, which interprets energy fields, the spiritual realm, and pathways to understanding.

Sharing Creativity and Spiritual Growth

Joseph’s yogic dosha, Vata, reflects his creative and spiritual nature. With a focus on movement and growth, he seeks to share his gifts through his artwork for the benefit of all.
