CREATED 1978
Painted while sitting in a barn loft in Ballston Spa, NY. I was studying photo realism at State University of NY at Albany at the time. The stairs twisted over time. Grain intertwined, wood knots like eyes, a lighted window and living nature outside, all part of the picture.
Even the inanimate flows with interconnected energy. The lines of the grain are intended to imitate the lines of energy and the interconnected nature of everything. Coming up the stairs (growing), or going down (age), we are there in the moment. Make it beautiful.Â
